Modeling.  Simulation.  Many of us use the words interchangeably.  But at nou Systems, we understand the difference.  We believe that the people who model the systems and phenomenology should be the people who understand the systems and the physics.  We believe that the people who put together models into simulations, and the people who develop frameworks, should be the people who understand the questions the simulation is being designed to answer.  We believe in selection of the right fidelity, the right resolution, and the right level of abstraction to provide the most cost effective and efficient answers relevant to the parameters that matter.  And we believe that all these people, from diverse backgrounds and across multiple corporations and organizations, must work collaboratively to build the kinds of complex simulation architectures that address today’s questions.

At nou Systems, we are experts in radar systems, target signatures, RF energy, trajectories, orbital mechanics, and more.  We bring this expertise into our modeling.  We build models for ourselves, and we build them for our customers. 

nou Systems expertise in the Ballistic Missile Defense System spans the kill chain, and includes detailed understanding of all Ballistic Missile Defense System Elements and how they interoperate in tactical and strategic engagement.  This expertise translates into our modeling of phenomenology, and into our understanding of the interactions required in simulation frameworks.

nou Systems experts integrate Element model verification and validation evidence into accreditation insights to support Ballistic Missile Defense System operational testing.   This effort closes the loop between the nation’s questions of BMDS performance and our confidence in the simulation’s answers.
